Derrick operates in the physical oil and gas market around one question: can this transaction be executed under real conditions? His work centers on verifying counterparties, maintaining alignment with refinery mandates and keeping procedures commercially sound.

Earlier in his career he worked in interdisciplinary scientific publishing at John Wiley & Sons in New York and J.B. Lippincott in Philadelphia — experience in copywriting, copyediting and marketing leadership that now shapes both his market analysis and his transaction work.
